Maintains the cleanliness, sanitation, and safety of the venue, including polishing silverware and glassware and restocking shelves. Interacts courteously and professionally with team members and supervisors to ensure a high standard of hospitality.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS OF THE POSITION INCLUDE, BUT ARE NOT LIMITED TO:
Anticipate and accommodate the needs of all team members.
Ensure the maintenance, general cleanliness, and orderliness of the venue, including polishing silverware and glassware, restocking shelves, and keeping walkways swept, mopped, and clear of debris.
Properly store and remove garbage and soiled linens.
Follow supervisor’s instructions, communicate with, and support co-workers while being a team player.
Possess in-depth knowledge of proper usage of cleaning chemicals, soaps, and supplies.
Possess general knowledge of the venue.
Comply with Department of Health and company sanitation standards.
Communicate product needs to the chefs and/or purchaser.
Properly set up venue’s sanitation areas, perform side-work, and other opening/closing procedures as directed by management, including:
Stock station with prescribed supplies
Perform opening side-work as prescribed
Perform closing side-work as prescribed
Report all breakage or damage of equipment or furniture immediately to management.
Attend and participate in daily pre-service meetings (where applicable).
Attend and participate in any training sessions or departmental meetings.
Learn by listening, observing other team members, and sharing knowledge while leading by example.
Portray a positive and professional attitude.
Demonstrate knowledge of Tao Group Hospitality, its partners, and supporting hotel environments.
Work as part of a team and provide help and support to all fellow team members.
Assist with or complete additional tasks as assigned.
TRAINING REQUIREMENTS:
Tao Group Hospitality in-venue porter training
EDUCATION/WORKING KNOWLEDGE:
Experience in a high-volume restaurant preferred.
