Assists Floor and Cocktail Servers with steps of guest service and resets tables in a speedy, professional, and effective manner. Interacts with dining room and lounge guests, fellow team members, and supervisors in a polite and courteous manner to ensure gracious hospitality.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS OF THE POSITION INCLUDE, BUT ARE NOT LIMITED TO:
Anticipate and accommodate the needs of guests.
Maintain the general cleanliness and orderliness of tables.
Communicate guests’ needs to Front-of-House and Heart-of-House support staff, servers, managers, and chefs.
Deliver, fill, and refill water as requested by guests or directed by servers.
Clear and reset tables, and clean table areas, including banquettes and booths, during service.
Help ensure guest satisfaction through active participation in service.
Maintain general cleanliness of stations and the entire venue.
Comply with Department of Health and company sanitation standards.
Properly set up floor and side stations; perform side work and other opening/closing procedures as directed by management, including:
Ensuring all tables, chairs, and banquettes are clean and free of debris.
Setting tables with proper place settings.
Wiping down chairs, tables, and banquettes.
Stocking side stations with prescribed supplies.
Perform opening side work as prescribed.
Perform closing side work as prescribed.
Participate, when available, in marking tables for upcoming courses (appetizers, entrees, desserts).
Report all breakage or damage of equipment or furniture immediately to management.
Attend and participate in daily pre-service meetings.
Attend and participate in training sessions or departmental meetings.
Learn by listening, observing other team members, and sharing knowledge while leading by example.
Portray a positive and professional attitude.
Demonstrate knowledge of Tao Group Hospitality, its partners, and supporting hotel environments (when applicable).
Work as part of a team and provide help and support to all fellow team members.
Assist with and/or complete additional tasks as assigned.
TRAINING REQUIREMENTS:
Tao Group Hospitality in-venue busser training
EDUCATION/WORKING KNOWLEDGE:
Previous hospitality experience.
Previous busser experience.
Previous Experience in a high-volume restaurant/nightclub/lounge.
