Who you are:

The Maintenance Technician will implement best practices for sustaining safe, a well-maintained home office and restaurants across the USHG portfolio. This position ensures all maintenance tasks are of high quality and timely execution. This role is primarily hands-on with occasional supervision of vendor partners. The Maintenance Technician will routinely interface with operational staff, and address immediate and future needs. The Maintenance Technician will spend the majority of their time in our restaurants.

What you’ll do:

  • Consistently support a culture of Enlightened Hospitality
  • Perform routine maintenance and repairs on restaurant equipment, fixtures, and facilities
  • Own maintenance and repairs that include: basic carpentry, tile and floor repairs , plumbing repairs, doors and windows repair and adjustment, painting and patching
  • Troubleshoot equipment and facility issues and coordinate with specialized contractors as needed
  • Ensure compliance with health, safety, and building regulations
  • Promptly respond to emergency maintenance requests
  • Assist with setting up and moving equipment, furniture, and supplies as needed
  • Regularly keep tools, equipment, and work areas in a clean and organized condition
  • Perform overnight patch and painting 1-2 times a month

What we need from you:

  • 4-5 years of trade experience or minimum of 6 years of proven hands-on maintenance and handywork experience
  • Previous experience in trades such as plumbing, carpentry or electrical is strongly preferred
  • Ability to lift 50 lb and work in tight places
  • Ability to perform maintenance repairs 
  • Computer knowledge/ Microsoft Office 
  • Diplomatic communication skills with a high level of integrity 
  • Knowledge of how HVAC, Plumbing and electrical systems operate
